Um, bit dubious of this practice. After a poke around the dentist congratulated me on having no fillings - I have two! Not paying attention or examining me properly. He used a dental sander on me without explaining or checking properly. Very frightening -- smoke, sparks, etc. Nightmare fuel. Also, first thing in the morning his blue coat/uniform/whatever was really quite dirty. All other dentists I've seen have had clean lab-type coats. Not a good impression.

Not sure quite what to think - perhaps he was having an off day - but I prefer anyone messing about with my teeth to consistently examine them properly and explain stuff. Not going back...
